Give Voice to Your Inner Power

Inner Activism within Women;
A journey of emancipating ourselves, with love, compassion and courage, from internalised cultural narratives.

Inner Activism within Women;
Is a journey of reclaiming freedom from internal conditioning, anchored in love, compassion, and courage…

Why Inner Activism?

Subjugation is rarely just physical or legal; its most insidious form lies in invisible mental shackles. Women constitute half of society while raising the other half. If a woman does not dismantle the patriarchal and self-blaming scripts within herself, she unwittingly passes down the very captivity she suffers to the children she nurtures. Unconsciously, she may teach sons dominance and daughters shame and compliance. Breaking this cycle requires a woman to first liberate her own mind from internal colonization, then rebuild her agency, self-worth, and identity. This is precisely why activism must take root within before it manifests in the streets—for a mind still in captivity cannot raise a free society.

So, what ignites this inner revolution?

At the heart of activism lies justified anger. Authentic anger is a vital emotion, signaling that something is fundamentally wrong and demanding transformation. Yet, when a woman expresses this anger without recognizing the true source of her power, she is often stigmatized and conditioned into guilt and shame. Reactive emotions and ineffective behaviors serve neither the woman nor the collective.

This is where we stand. As the Inner Activism Within Women initiative, we exist to channel this raw energy of anger—so essential for change—into psychological mastery, grounded values, and constructive agency.

We take Erich Fromm’s core dimensions of love—Knowledge, Responsibility, Care, and Respect—as our compass, while bearing compassion and courage as our torch…

We meet and heal the wounds signaled by anger through our core philosophies, psychological frameworks, and specialized models. A woman’s internal awakening is not merely a matter of personal or social recovery; it is the absolute prerequisite for humanity to rise anew on a foundation of genuine love.

We set forth to construct the world we long to see—first within ourselves, guided by compassionate authority and wisdom…

Who We Are

As members of the Functional Fluency Turkey Network and certified TIFF providers, we are a civil initiative deeply committed to women’s empowerment, united by an unshakeable belief in human transformation. Bringing together women from diverse professional backgrounds and life paths, we synthesize methodologies from management, education, psychology, Transactional Analysis, sociology, coaching, consulting, and behavioral sciences with the lived wisdom of our personal journeys.

What We Do

We facilitate the cultivation of psychological capabilities during women’s journey of inner emancipation, witnessing and holding space for their empowerment. We create a container for women to understand themselves in their full wholeness, recognize their innate power, and express their unique essence to the world.

How We Do It

Guided by neuroplasticity—the brain’s capacity to rewire itself—we illuminate internalized behavioral patterns and core belief systems within a safe, compassionate space. By refining this self-awareness with scientific rigor and gentle care, we transform insights into lasting, empowering behaviors that become the brain’s new baseline. Through a holistic approach encompassing psychoeducation, transformative workshops, coaching and mentoring practices, and unmasked, authentic dialogues, we invite you into this secure journey of transformation.

Why Inner Activism?

Conditioned Internal Voices Echoing in the Mind:

  • • “Am I truly worthy of this?”
  • • “Will I still be accepted if I say no?”
  • • “I must tend to everyone else’s needs first…”

Inner Emancipation (Emancipation)

The conscious process of unmasking internalized conditioning to fully reclaim one’s self-worth, authentic voice, and sovereignty of choice.

A CALLING TO AUTHENTIC LIFE:

  • • “Untethered from what I was taught, how do I truly choose to live?”
  • • “What meaningful impact do I wish to create?”
  • • “Is this choice truly aligned with my authentic self?”

Women Entrepreneurs & Startups

We focus on anchoring ventures born of passion and vision in deep-seated inner authority. By bringing awareness to invisible energetic drains—such as the relentless drive for self-validation, hyper-independence, and perfectionism—we facilitate sustainable energy conservation in decision-making and action. We align the founder’s mindset, core values, and strategic execution with her venture’s vision, fostering long-term resilience and impact.

Educators & Teachers

Guided by the truth that “you teach not what you know, but who you are,” we illuminate subtle classroom relational dynamics to interrupt the intergenerational transmission of educational trauma. Rather than trapping educators in expected archetypes of self-sacrifice or perfection, we cultivate autonomy, authentic presence, and emotional regulation. This enables teachers to bring their unique essence into the classroom, creating a safe, compassionate learning container.

Women in the Arts & Media

We support creative women, writers, and journalists in channeling their powerful transformative energy into their work, free from societal scripts or internal self-censorship. By amplifying their authentic, fearless voices, we empower them to spark collective awareness and inspire meaningful change through their craft.

Instead of adapting to patriarchal corporate structures through hyper-control or rigid authority, we create space for women leaders to embody compassionate authority. We cultivate an integrative, inspiring leadership presence that transforms organizational culture and serves as a generative role model for teams and institutions.

Our Philosophy — Core Beliefs — Methodology

Existential Philosophy

Search for Meaning & Sovereignty Over Life

Every human being possesses the inherent capacity to give meaning to their life, make autonomous choices, and claim full sovereignty over their decisions. It grounds us in becoming the author of our own life, rather than taking refuge in the past or in external validation.

Explore Framework & Reflections

Transactional Analysis (TA)

The “I’m OK – You’re OK” Principle

Grounded in the fundamental truth that every individual is inherently valuable and equal. It illuminates how to stand in authentic presence without losing oneself, transforming relational script patterns and granting the agency to rewrite our life story.

Functional Fluency Model

Shifting from Reaction to Conscious Response

Enables us to decode our habitual behavioral patterns in relationships. Rather than defaulting to automatic reactions, it guides us to choose flexible, effective, and conscious behaviors that honor both ourselves and others.

Explore Framework & Reflections

Existential Philosophy

Search for Meaning & Sovereignty Over Life

  • Human beings are uniquely conscious of their mortality, driven by an innate need for existential meaning.
  • Every individual can step forward as the primary agent of their life, exercising choice and claiming responsibility for their decisions.
  • When we anchor the void of isolation and existential anxiety with deep meaning rather than dread, we become truly grounded and experience authentic well-being.

Pause and Reflect Upon Your Own Life:

  1. “Is the life I am currently living truly chosen by me, or am I living out expectations conditioned by ‘what others might think’?”
  2. “When I dismiss stagnation in my life with ‘that’s just how things are,’ am I avoiding the responsibility of my own agency?”
  3. “When an inner void or anxiety arises, do I retreat into distraction and digital screens, or do I pause to ask, ‘What truly nourishes my soul right now?’”

Transactional Analysis (TA)

The “I’m OK – You’re OK” Principle

  • Every human being is inherently valuable and unique. “I’m OK – You’re OK”
  • Everyone possesses the intrinsic capacity to shape their own destiny and decide their path.
  • We hold the power to redecide our choices and resolve life challenges.
  • Instead of remaining trapped in automatic life scripts and repetitive relational patterns from the past, we choose conscious freedom in the Here-and-Now.

Pause and Reflect Upon Your Own Life:

  1. “To what extent do I hold myself as inherently worthy, and view others as trustworthy?”
  2. “How are childhood script decisions like ‘I must always be strong,’ ‘I must be perfect,’ or ‘I must please everyone’ driving my life today?”
  3. “When conflict or distress arises, which drama triangle role do I default to: the over-functioning ‘Rescuer,’ the blaming ‘Persecutor,’ or the helpless ‘Victim’?”

Functional Fluency Model

Shifting from Reaction to Response

  • Building fulfilling, effective relationships requires understanding our own behavioral habits and patterns and recognizing their impact on others.
  • Through the Functional Fluency framework, we select flexible, effective, and conscious options—stepping out of default reactions into intentional responses.

Pause and Reflect Upon Your Own Life:

  1. “How do I extend care to myself and others? Through nurturing compassion, or through smothering over-protection?”
  2. “Do I share my knowledge and leadership with patronizing dominance, or with grounded, compassionate authority?”
  3. “Do I engage in relationships from a place of anxiety, or from grounded self-assurance and authentic warmth?”
  4. “When expressing myself, am I tapping into spontaneous, creative vitality, or egocentric reactivity?”
  5. “How present and grounded are my decisions in the Here-and-Now, versus reacting from old emotional baggage?”

“The quality of our thoughts determines the quality of our life.”

This core conviction underpins everything I do and drives my purpose: to illuminate the invisible bridge connecting our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, supporting holistic well-being and life quality.

I was born into an extended family longing for a baby girl. Surrounded by my brothers’ high energy, I received the implicit message that being ‘naughty’ was unsafe. Praised for being ‘well-behaved and quiet,’ I stepped into the silent mold of the child who never challenged elders or upset her parents. I grew up believing I was worthy of love only when I accommodated others and kept myself out of the room. As I matured, watching the frightening evening news amplified my belief that ‘being a woman in Turkey is dangerous and hard.’

I cannot say I consciously chose my profession to unravel these scripts, yet my intuition caught what my mind could not yet articulate: I set out on a path to understand myself and human nature. Following my degree in Guidance and Psychological Counseling from Yildiz Technical University, my Master’s thesis investigated the ‘good girl’ survival kit: perfectionism, fear of negative evaluation, and underlying inadequacy. This quest brought me to Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT).

During my graduate studies, crossing paths with Püren Savaş Gedikoğlu and the team at PSG Education & Career offered me the platform to translate academic theory into transformative psychoeducation. The Transactional Analysis (TA) framework and Functional Fluency model became profound, practical roadmaps for decoding my internal scripts and rewiring mental patterns. As a founding team member of the Turkey Network, I integrated my credentials as a TIFF Licensed Provider, TPLT Trainer, TAPDA-certified TA practitioner, Neurocoach, and Functional Fluency Mat (GOTM) specialist.

In my mid-twenties, as I began crafting my own life and immersed myself in TA and Functional Fluency, I began claiming my authentic voice. I started recognizing and transforming the suppression, anger, rebellion, and resistance carried by the ‘good girl’ script, making peace with womanhood—a journey I walk to this day.

In my work with women, this is the foundational pattern I aim to transform: ‘We carry burdens that were never ours to hold.’ We grew up internalizing societal scripts etched into our minds—’A woman serves,’ ‘A woman shouldn’t intrude or raise her voice,’ ‘A woman shouldn’t laugh loudly’—alongside the conviction that womanhood is inherent hardship. These burdens dim our ability to express our voice and claim our personal agency. Yet the power that society attempts to suppress is not something to be acquired externally; it is our very essence, revealed as we strip away imposed norms.

I believe profound healing occurs when we relinquish rigid perfectionism, fear of judgment, and societal mandates to give ourselves permission to simply be. As I accompany women in building invisible bridges, rewiring mental scripts, and cultivating well-being, I grant myself permission each day to trust my own voice and be genuinely myself…

Yelda Ünal

R&D & SALES DIRECTOR, FUNCTIONAL FLUENCY & TIFF LICENSED PROVIDER

I began life navigating the unwritten rules of womanhood. I grew up surrounded by spoken and unspoken scripts dictating how I should behave, how visible I was allowed to be, how loud I could speak, and even how freely I could laugh.

For years, I assumed this was simply the natural state of existence. Until my nineties, I lived a life where being born a woman felt like a stroke of misfortune.

Yet inside me, another voice persisted: a curious, vibrant child eager to learn, create, push boundaries, and whisper, ‘It can be different.’

Across a 35-year corporate career spanning Food Engineering, a Master’s in Biotechnology, R&D, production, and executive leadership, I navigated the complex dynamics of human relationships. In male-dominated industries, I repeatedly experienced what it meant to establish a presence, make my voice heard, lead, and reinvent myself.

As I transformed internally, my capacity to influence my environment expanded. Shifting my perspective on myself and relationships transformed my leadership style and communication. In corporate life today, I witness the power of creating environments where individuals understand themselves deeply and make conscious choices.

This journey taught me that transformation is never purely individual: as an individual evolves within, the system around them begins to shift.

My greatest revelation was realizing that external professional success does not equate to internal liberation.

My quest to understand human behavior led me from neuroscience into Transactional Analysis. TA’s ‘I’m OK – You’re OK’ stance showed me that my worth is not derived from achievements, roles, or external approval.

Discovering Functional Fluency through Püren provided the bridge to translate inner awareness into conscious behavioral choices. I learned that automatic behaviors inherited from childhood and culture are not destiny; I can choose flexible, effective, and fluent responses in the Here-and-Now.

Today, I stand as a woman liberated from accumulated burdens, recognizing the intrinsic value of her existence.

And best of all… the feeling of my childhood returned: “I am capable of anything.”

I feel this now not from a place of needing to prove myself, but because I am curious, sovereign in my choices, and the author of my own life.

Inner Activism is not merely a framework I practice; it is the name of the path I walk in my own life.
